Privacy Policy
April 16, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Logos Story Crafter collects, uses, shares, stores, and protects personal data when you visit our marketing site, create an account, subscribe to the service, or contact us.
The policy is structured to align with current transparency expectations under major privacy frameworks, including GDPR and UK GDPR transparency duties, the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by CPRA, and Brazil’s LGPD. It should be reviewed against your final corporate entity details, product integrations, and processor list before production use.
1. Who is responsible for your data
Logos Story Crafter acts as the controller or equivalent responsible business for the personal data described in this policy when we decide why and how that data is processed.
For privacy requests or questions, contact support@logosstorycrafter.com. If you appoint a dedicated privacy contact, DPO, or legal entity name and registered address, those details should be added here before launch.
2. The categories of data we collect
We collect only the categories of data reasonably necessary to operate, secure, support, improve, and bill for the service.
- Identity and contact data, such as your name, email address, billing contact details, and account credentials.
- Account and subscription data, such as plan selection, renewal status, invoices, and payment-related metadata from payment providers.
- Project and content data, such as story projects, lore entries, manuscripts, prompts, exports, comments, and support attachments you choose to store in the service.
- Technical and usage data, such as IP address, browser type, device identifiers, crash logs, approximate location inferred from IP, page interactions, and security events.
- Support and communication data, such as emails, chat transcripts, feedback, bug reports, and survey responses.
- Preference data, such as language, cookie choices, interface settings, and notification preferences.
3. How we use personal data
We use personal data to provide the service you request, maintain account security, process subscriptions, respond to support requests, communicate service changes, comply with legal obligations, prevent misuse, and improve product quality.
Where we use optional analytics, personalization, or marketing technologies, those activities are subject to the consent and preference controls described in our Cookie Settings page.
4. Legal bases and comparable grounds for processing
Depending on your location, we rely on one or more recognized legal grounds for processing, including performance of a contract, legitimate interests, consent, and compliance with legal obligations.
We rely on consent where local law requires it for optional cookies or similar technologies and for other processing that is not otherwise justified on a separate legal ground. You can withdraw consent at any time without affecting processing already carried out lawfully before withdrawal.
5. Sharing, subprocessors, and disclosures
We share personal data only with service providers and professional advisers that need it to help us operate the service, such as hosting providers, customer support tools, payment processors, email services, analytics providers you have consented to, fraud and security vendors, and legal or accounting advisers.
We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect rights or safety, to investigate abuse, or as part of a merger, financing, asset transfer, or acquisition, subject to appropriate safeguards.
We do not sell personal information for money. If we ever engage in activities that qualify as a sale or share under California law, such as certain cross-context behavioral advertising uses, we will provide the required notice and choice mechanisms before doing so.
6. International transfers
Because our vendors and infrastructure may operate in more than one country, personal data may be processed outside your home jurisdiction.
Where a transfer requires additional safeguards, we use recognized transfer mechanisms and contractual protections appropriate to the destination and service involved.
7. Retention
We retain personal data only for as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy, including account administration, security, billing, dispute resolution, legal compliance, and backup recovery.
Retention periods vary by category. Account, billing, and support records may be kept for longer where required by tax, accounting, fraud-prevention, or legal-defense obligations. When data is no longer needed, we delete it or de-identify it.
8. Cookies and similar technologies
We use strictly necessary technologies to keep the site secure, remember essential session choices, and preserve privacy settings. Optional preferences, analytics, and marketing technologies remain off until you grant consent where required.
Our Cookie Settings page explains each category, stores your choices, and lets you withdraw or update consent at any time. Under current enforcement expectations, refusal must be as easy as acceptance and non-essential technologies must not activate before consent.
9. Your privacy rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or port personal data, to withdraw consent, to opt out of certain profiling or sharing practices, and to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority or consumer authority.
California residents may have rights to know, delete, correct, limit the use of sensitive personal information, opt out of sale or sharing if applicable, and receive equal service without discrimination for exercising privacy rights. Brazilian data subjects may also request confirmation of processing, anonymization, blocking, deletion, portability, information about sharing, and review of certain automated decisions. European and UK users may object to legitimate-interest processing and complain to a supervisory authority.
10. Security, children, and automated decisions
We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal data from unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or alteration. No system can be guaranteed completely secure, so we continually monitor and improve our safeguards.
The service is not directed to children under 13, and where local law sets a higher threshold for digital consent we expect users to meet that age. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children in violation of applicable law.
We do not currently make decisions based solely on automated processing that produce legal or similarly significant effects without human review. If that changes, we will update this policy and any required notices.
11. Changes to this policy and contact
We may update this policy to reflect changes in the product, our vendors, or legal requirements. When changes are material, we will update the effective date and provide additional notice where required.
Questions, rights requests, and complaints can be sent to support@logosstorycrafter.com.
